Built Server racks, installing physical servers along with the installation and configuration of Microsoft Windows Server operating systems for defined purpose. Installation of structured ethernet an fibre channel cabling for NAS storage. Dispersred power distribution across different phases and confgured UPS for each rack provising resiliency
Configuration of Physical Servers
Configuration of Servers as per project plan including Primary Domain Controllers, Backup Domain Controllers, SQL Server and SQL instances, CRM Server, Warehouse system Server, VPN Server, Data Server and Backup Server including physical tape rotation strategy. Installatio and configuration of new VPN server to provide remote access and new field based terminal connectivity
Migration of Applications and datasets
Managegement of the migration process from Novel to Windows for all core databases, application and web based applications. Data coversion processes required creating and testing along with consistency and UAT before go-live of cutomer facing applications and CRM systems
Installation of Exchange & mail migration
Led the installation and configuration of Exchange and planned for migration of all GroupWise email and archived repositories into new Outlook based clients configuring shared mailboxes, permissions sets, Aliases an mail forwards
